CMB @ NERSC
For nearly 30 years, the CMB community has leveraged the computing and storage resources at NERSC to perform ground-breaking work in cosmology. This long-standing allocation has persisted due to the consistent scientific output relevant to DOE’s Cosmic Frontier, and the HPC computing leadership of the Computational Cosmology Center at LBNL.
Role
I am currently the P.I. for the CMB allocation at NERSC, and have worked to guide those resources to best serve the current Stage-3 CMB experiments and their science goals. With the cancellation of CMB-S4, this resource has become even more critical to enable cosmology results from existing experiments as they attempt to meet more demanding science goals.
